About Contact Studio
CONTACT Studio is a recording studio that was established in 2009 by South Dublin County’s Arts Office. It is based in RUA RED South Dublin Arts Centre in Tallaght. It is an accessible, affordable space where people can work in a relaxed and professional environment with recording technician Gerry Horan.
It is our aim to provide opportunities for people of all ages to express their creativity, and to find opportunities to partner and collaborate with other arts and community organisations wherever possible.
The studio provides technical and developmental support to events and festivals around the county, including the Social Inclusion Unit’s annual multi arts event “Celebration”; and “NOISE Moves”, South Dublin County’s youth dance festival. CONTACT Studio is a member of the creative partnership that has developed “Unwrapped”, the annual winter celebration, since it’s inception. Gerry has been it’s Musical Director, live sound technician and main composer since 2012
